Dr. Ahmed M. Nassar, M.D., M.S.
Anterior Segment/Cataract, Refractive Surgeon
Dr. Nassar is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Acadia University. He went on to the State University of New York School of Optometry to complete a Masters of Vision Science degree. He then went to Meharry Medical College, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree and graduated on the dean’s list with clinical honors in 5 rotations.
The following year, Dr. Nassar finished his internship at Metro Nashville General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, and then went on to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he completed his specialty training in ophthalmology.
He founded Eye Specialists of Georgia in 2004. He was appointed to the South Fulton Medical Center Staff in 2004 and has privileges at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Nassar performs LASIK in Dunwoody and Stockbridge.
Dr. Nassar is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
