Dr. Lashaundra Dangerfield, O.D.
Optometrist, Clinical Manager
Dr. Dangerfield is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Dangerfield graduated summa cum laude from Alabama A& M University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued on to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree.
As part of her training, Dr. Dangerfield completed internship rotations in the specialty areas of glaucoma, retina, pediatrics, contact lens fitting, dry eye disease, and cataract pre- and post-operative care. After graduating from optometry school, she completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at the Tuscaloosa Veteran Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Dangerfield has volunteered with Cahaba Valley Healthcare and Remote Access Medical to help provide eye care and glasses to patients in need. She is also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Academic Honor Society, American Optometric Association, and Georgia Optometry Association.
Dr. Dangerfield resides in Atlanta, and in her free time, enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling.
