Pterygium Removal

A pterygium is a raised, wedge-shaped growth of the conjunctiva. Symptoms may include irritation, redness, tearing, or even decreased vision, if it extends over the line of sight.

If the pterygium does grow over the cornea, thus affecting the vision, surgical removal is necessary.
